Dr. Clive Baldwin
Co-Investigator

Clive Baldwin was born in the UK and moved to St Thomas in May 2011 to take up his post as Canada Research Chair in Narrative Studies. He has degrees from the universities of Cambridge, Leicester and Sheffield and is a qualified social worker with experience in mental health, community work and not-for-profit sector development.

Dr. Wasif Ali
Research Coordinator

Dr. Wasif Ali is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary and a key member of the Canadian Muslim Youth (CMY) Identity Project research team. His work focuses on narrative inquiry, identity formation, and the socio-political experiences of Muslim youth in Canada.

Abdul Al-Shawwa
Lead Coordinator

Abdul Al-Shawwa is an MSc/MD student at the University of Calgary and serves as the lead coordinator for the CMY project. He works to organize the national symposium project, facilitate data collection, and is engaged in knowledge dissemination work.

Sarah Abouali
Project Coordinator

Sarah Abouali is a Research Assistant with the Canadian Muslim Youth (CMY) Identity Project, where she plays a central role in supporting youth engagement, data collection, and knowledge mobilization. With a background in English, Education, and a strong commitment to equity and community-based research, Sarah brings lived experience and cultural insight to the project.
